Meet Some of the Aladdin Puppies

We have 2 litters planned for this year...inquires invited!

Occasionally we have puppies available for sale.  We expect our pet puppies to become family household members and require homes with secure, fenced yards.  Because we care so very much about where and how our dogs live out their lives, we do not sell puppies for the intended purpose of breeding to your pet Schipperke.  Pet puppies are only available on a Limited Registration basis.

If you are not familiar with this type of registration, please click on the link above.
Aladdin Schipperkes encourages all dog owners to be responsible and breed responsibly!  We are truly interested in helping you find the right Schipperke.

To assist you in your puppy search, we have added links to fellow Schipperke breeders.  Whatever you do, please purchase your puppy from a responsible breeder!

Finding A Responsible Breeder

A responsible breeder should be willing to answer your questions regarding their kennel facilities, breeding practices, individual dog pedigrees, and so on.  Understand that many breeders go to weekend dogs shows, so don't give up if you don't get to speak with them immediately.  Leaving a brief message detailing what you are looking for (age, sex, pet or show quality) can help.  Some breeders require a written contract when selling a puppy, others do not.  Some contracts are very plain, others are more detailed.  Be sure to ask any questions prior to signing your contract.  If you are buying and paying for a purebred dog (responsible breeders do not sell mixed breed dogs), be sure that you receive the proper paperwork and registration papers at the time of sale.  Otherwise, this is the same as having a car without the proper title to it.  Promises of getting papers later rarely pan out.

Sometimes a breeder may not have exactly what you are looking for and will send you to another breeder.  Beware of someone trying to sell you what you don't want but do keep in mind that often times an experienced breeder may know what would be more suitable to your needs.  For example, if you are new to dogs and new to the Schipperke breed, it is not likely you will be sold a "pair of Schipperkes to breed".  Most likely, you will be encouraged to purchase a Schipperke and live with it for a while before you plunge into the world of breeding.

Sometimes, rescue schipperkes are available.  These dogs have had some unfortunate circumstance occur which has left them needing a new home.  Most breeders can send you in that direction if that is an option you would consider.  This can be a perfect solution for a good home that is interested in acquiring a Schipperke as a pet and who would want to open their heart to an "orphan."

Finally, a breeder may ask you a lot of questions.

Do not be offended.  Be glad that the person you are wanting to purchase a dog from is interested in more than just the purchase price!
